Article today covering the marathon of one act plays as part of the 30th annual marathon of one-act play festival by the Ensemble Studio Theatre program.  The review featuring Autumn in the New York Sun:

The program ends with Quincy Long’s “Wedding Pictures,” a farce with one door and a violin. The violin, played by the game and excellent Heather Sommerlad, is key; in sensibility, this is a silent movie translated to the stage, with music setting the tempo and conveying the mood behind all the mime and big emotions on display. The plot is simple and silly: A bride (Autumn Dornfeld) and groom (Eric Gilde) are at the altar when the groom’s lover (Jacob Hawkins) arrives, sending the bride into a fit of tears and the groom into a panic. Ridiculousness ensues.

It’s an imaginative, lighthearted finish to a high-quality quintet

Close to wrapping up the off-broadway run for Beebo Brinker Chronicles, Autumn will appear in the return of Law and Order on April 23rd.  Being billed by NBC as the last show with Detective Ed Green (Jesse Martin).  Autumn is being tight lipped about her role, but we will be watching on the 23rd!

Playbill announced on Friday that Beebo Brinker Chronicles will make an Off-Broadway run starting February 19th at 37 Arts.  The majority of the cast from the first production at the Fourth Street Theatre will return including including Marin Ireland (The Ruby Sunrise) and David Greenspan (Some Men) were featured in the previous cast that also included Carolyn Baeumler (Trouble in Paradise), Autumn Dornfeld (The Graduate) and Anna Foss Wilson (Anon). Casting for the 37 Arts run has yet to be announced.

The Kitchen will present a new dance-theatre piece exploring the work of dramatist Bertolt Brecht and composer Hanns Eisler.

Uncivil Wars: Collaborating with Brecht & Eisler, edited, directed and choreographed by David Gordon, borrows source material from Brecht’s The Roundheads and the Pointheads – incorporating thoughts from Brecht and Eisler on creating art for the theatre, while exploring the “implications of readdressing historical works in the context of our present moment and considers racial, religious, linguistic and geographical divisions resulting in war,” according to press notes.

Set to take part in the highly collaborative work are Oscar winner and four-time Tony nominee Estelle Parsons as well as John Kelly, Valda Setterfield, Norma Fire, Robert LaVell, Autumn Dornfeld, Derek Lucci, Gina Leishman and Dean Moss.

Eisler and Brecht collaborated on numerous theatrical endeavors, including The Decision, The Mother and Schweik in the Second World War. Their song “Solidarity Song” became a staple of the Weimer era.

Uncivil Wars, co-commissioned by the Kitchen and the Walker Art Center, features the music of Hanns Eisler with media direction by cast member Dean Moss, music direction by cast member Gina Leishman and lighting design by Jennifer Tipton.

Still no official word if the Beebo Brinker Chronicles will move to a more commercial venue and make a run off-Broadway.  But with great reviews from the NY Times, Variety, NY Theater, New York Magazine, Theater Mania – it will be a great disappointment to theater fans (and Autumn Dornfeld fans) if the show does not go on!
